Bookmarks
Use bookmarks to record customized anatomical scenes so that you can return to them easily. Bookmarks include all the customized scene elements, including layers, camera positioning, labels, and any applied inspection actions which are triggered from the radial menu. Unlike screenshots, bookmarks are not static images; when viewing your bookmarks, you’re able to interact with the labels, layers, and position as usual.
To create a bookmark
- Click the Add Bookmark icon to save your current scene. The Bookmark Menu will open, and the scene will be saved with a generic name and the current date.
- (Optional) To edit the bookmark name, click the pencil icon on the bookmark you'd like to edit, and type a new bookmark title.
Bookmark Menu
Use the Bookmark Menu to save and review customized anatomical scenes.
The Bookmark Menu includes three bookmark types, accessible from their respective Tabs, each of which is described in more detail below.
Planes
The Planes bookmarks place the camera in true lateral, dorsal, ventral, caudal, and cranial views. When a plane bookmark is selected the camera position will adjust to show the canine at the chosen angle:
- Lateral (Side)
- Dorsal (Top)
- Ventral (Bottom)
- Caudal (Back)
- Cranial (Front)
To use the planes
- Click the Bookmark Menu button. The Bookmark Menu will display.
- Select the Planes tab at the top of the menu.
- Scroll through the list of planes and select which to apply. The camera position will adjust to show the canine at the angle selected.
Bookmarks
The standard Bookmarks represent customized anatomical scenes that you've created and captured. When viewing your bookmarks you’re able to interact with the labels, layers, and position as usual.
To view your bookmarks
- Click the Bookmark Menu icon. The Bookmark Menu will display.
- Select the Bookmarks tab at the top of the menu.
- To view an existing bookmark, click that bookmark. The scene will be reconfigured to the specific bookmark parameters.

Annotation Bookmarks
Annotation Bookmarks are similar to standard Bookmarks, however they capture both the anatomical scene and any annotation strokes.
To view your annotation bookmarks
- Click the Bookmark Menu icon. The Bookmark Menu will display.
- Select the Annotations tab at the top of the menu.
- To view a specific annotation bookmark, click that annotation. The scene will reset to the annotated scene and you will be put into edit mode. You can then update your annotation if you want, or simply close it by clicking the (X) icon.
- (Optional) To delete an annotation bookmark, click the trash can icon beside the annotation. Once deleted the annotation will no longer display in the Bookmark menu.
